Fmr. NM Gov. Gary Johnson announces Prez Run
New Mexico’s controversial Libertarian former Governor Gary Johnson has announced his run for President in 2012. As a native New Mexican I thought I’d share some information on Johnson for those who didn’t grow up with him on the front pages of your newspaper.
Quick Bio:
Gary Johnson, Gov. of New Mexico (Jan. 1995 - Jan. 2003)
Age: 58
QUICK PERSONAL: Owned a successful construction business, decided to run for Governor in 1994 and won. He’s completed the Ironman Triathalon five times and climbed Mt. Everest.
KNOWN FOR: Being Pro-Marijuana legalization. Johnson believes we should legalize it and tax it and treat it as a “heath issue” and not a “crime issue”. Came out in support of legalizing pot in his second term as Governor.
